Jonathan Coachman is joined by expert sports bettors Allan Bell, Mike McClure, Justin Perri and Larry Hartstein on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for the NFL and the Major League Baseball playoffs for Sunday, Oct. 10.

Bell starts things off in the NFL, picking the Panthers (-3) to cover at home against the Eagles (1 p.m. ET). "The last two games, (the Eagles) allowed a combined 83 points. And last week, they didn't even punt once and they lost by 12," he says. "(The Panthers) haven't allowed 200-plus passing yards in three straight games. It's not going to be a pretty game, but that's exactly how Carolina gets the job done."

Perri follows with two picks from the MLB playoffs. The first is the Astros (+110) on the money line in Game 3 of their AL Division Series against the White Sox (8:07 p.m. ET). "I think the wrong team is favored," he says. "(The Astros) won both of the first two games by five runs. This is a battle-tested team. I don't think they're going to be nearly as rattled as some other teams traveling to opposing territory and playing a big game. We've seen what this lineup can do."

Justin also likes Over 8.5 runs in Game 3 of the ALDS between the Rays and Red Sox (4:07 p.m. ET). "You actually have to go all the way back to 2019 to find a game between these two teams that, when played in Boston, didn't get to nine runs," Perri says. "I just don't think this one has too much of a chance to stay Under."

McClure has a pair of NFL plays, with the first being a prop bet - Over 88.5 receiving yards for Green Bay's Davante Adams in the Packers-Bengals game (1 p.m. ET). "This is a great bounce-back spot for him," Mike says. "He's still getting 31 percent of Aaron Rodgers' targets. That's been 45 targets through the first four weeks, and it's even higher than that if you throw out that first game against the Saints, when the team just really didn't show up at all."

His second play is a teaser, as he likes Cleveland at +8.5 in the Browns-Chargers contest (4:05 p.m. ET) and Dallas at -1 in the Giants-Cowboys matchup (4:25 p.m. ET). "I actually have (Cleveland) favored by one point in the simulations. … I think this is a great spot for the Browns to potentially win this one outright," McClure says. "Yes, the Giants can make things competitive in division games. (But) the Cowboys are still healthy enough, so I think they get the win on their home field."

Hartstein wraps things up with a pair of NFL prop bets - Over 57.5 receiving yards (-115) and Over 2.5 rushing yards (-110) for Jacksonville's Laviska Shenault in the Titans-Jaguars game (1 p.m. ET). "(Jaguars coach) Urban Meyer said, 'This is our most productive receiver. We need to get him 10 touches, and we need to be creative about that,'" Larry says. "That word to me means some running plays. He had an 11-yard run last week. (And) the Titans' secondary is third-worst in yards per (pass) attempt, third-worst in yards after the catch."
