Jonathan Coachman is joined by expert sports bettors Mike McClure and Zack Cimini on the Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for Major League Baseball, the NHL and soccer for Saturday, May 8.

Coach starts things off with two SportsLine Plays of the Day. The first comes in the English Premier League: Under 2.5 goals (-160) in the Manchester City-Chelsea match (12:30 p.m. ET). "[These teams] are not going to give anything away," Coach says. "They're going to be playing very close to the vest."

The second Play of the Day is a podcast favorite and comes from the NHL: Over 5.5 goals (-120) in the Lightning-Panthers game (7 p.m. ET). "The Panthers Overs: 8-1-1 in their last 10 games," Coach says.

McClure's two picks comes from the MLB. The first is the Nationals to cover 0.5 runs in the first five innings (+120) over the Yankees (1:05 p.m. ET). "They've got Juan Soto back in the lineup," McClure says. "That is a big addition. Plus giving them the designated hitter in the American League park."

He also likes the Cubs to cover the run line -1.5 (+110) against the Pirates (2:20 p.m. ET). "[Cubs starter] Trevor Williams should really benefit at Wrigley Field," McClure says. "Excellent pitching conditions overall."

Like McClure, Cimini also goes to the MLB for his two picks. The first is the Blue Jays (+125) to beat the Astros (7:10 p.m. ET). "The Toronto Blue Jays are hitting the ball really well right now," Cimini says. "Over their last eight games, they've averaged 6.75 runs."

Cimini closes things out with the Braves to cover the -1.5 run line (+115) against the Phillies (7:20 p.m. ET). "The Phillies, every road win they've had this year, they've followed it up the next game with a loss," Cimini says.
