Today's picks: Panthers-Texans teaser for Thursday Night Football, plus more NFL, MLB, college football and Serie A best bets

Allan reveals some interesting early-season NFL trends involving road teams. The results may surprise you. The SportsLine Play of the Day is Napoli -125 over Sampdoria in Serie A action at 12:30 p.m. ET. 

Mike then drops his spotlight play for Panthers-Texans at 8:20 p.m. ET. "We're going to tease the Panthers down to -2 and then we're going to tease the total up here in this spot," he says, noting the Under will be at 49. "That's going to come back at -120. I had only a little bit of concern on the total at that 43 number. These two teams don't actually play terribly slow. Houston has put some points on the board."

Justin moves to MLB, leading with the Indians and White Sox Over seven runs at 1:10 p.m. ET. The weather and the pitching matchup will certainly lead to many runs scored. He is also on the Astros -160 over the Angels at 9:38 p.m. ET. The Angels have been an easy target to pick on in road games at night when facing winning teams. 

Allan has a Thursday Night Football prop pick, going with Texans kicker Joey Slye Over 5.5 points. No matter what the game script will be, Slye should go over the number. In college football, he is taking Florida -19 over Tennessee on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET. The Gators will satisfy a hungry home crowd. 

Larry's top MLB pick of the day is the Braves Over 4.5 runs against the Diamondbacks at 3:40 p.m. ET. Madison Bumgarner is a good target to take advantage of in day games.
