The Huskies' offensive dominance behind Heisman Trophy contender Michael Penix Jr. and his stable of receivers has been well documented. They rank third in the country in scoring offense (49.8) and aren't shy about piling on points. Their smallest margin of victory this season is 27 points. Meanwhile Arizona is much improved on defense, allowing just 16.0 points per game, but the Wildcats haven't faced a team ranked better than 57th in scoring offense. Washington rolls.
Thought UDub was overrated entering the season and maybe it is but so far Michael Penix & the Huskies look fantastic. He has taken the Heisman lead at some books. Don't think coaching matters? Penix was good but nothing like this when he was at Indiana. This was 70.5 earlier this week and kicking myself for not taking it. I'm sure the Huskies get their 40 but not sure Arizona gets its 28 or so with QB Jayden de Laura and RB Michael Wiley both game-time calls. The probably try to play but the UA offense has been rather blah regardless. The defense has been very good in three of four games.
This Huskies team is fantastic. Michael Penix Jr is currently the Heisman favorite averaging 409.9 Pass YPG and 4.0 Pass TD per game while playing about three quarters a game. The Huskies have scored at least 40 points every game this season and that won't change this week. This is a lookahead spot for the Huskies with Oregon coming to Seattle next week. However, the Huskies will still sleepwalk their way to a three touchdown win over Arizona. Hammer the Huskies.
We are heading into the final weekend of September, and the Huskies are STILL being disrespected by the entire country. It feels like they start every game with at least 20 points thanks to Heisman Trophy candidate Michael Penix Jr taking the snaps and a stout wide receiving corps led by Rome Odunze. The Wildcats rank 64th in the nation in pass defense (219.3 yards per game), and Penix is going to light them up in an attempt to make another statement to the college football world. Hopefully people are watching.
