This is weird. Bet365 has this at -3.5 and every other SL book at either 5.5 or 6. I see no reason for the disparity, although Bet365 tends to have outlier lines. Really will be PO'd if I play the spread and AFA only wins by a field goal so let's just take it out of the equation entirely and pay the 50 cents as this feels like a gift number (all other ML at least -215). San Jose State can't stop the run at all and one could say that plays into AFA's hands. Anyone else find it ironic that Air Force is annually the most ground-based team in college football? Shouldn't it have aerodynamic knowledge that others schools don't?

I've always said that the Air Force option attack is a quadruple option, with how well they throw the football. This year has been a great defensive year for the Falcons, which pairs up perfectly in this matchup vs SJSU who seems to be struggling on offense. This one could get away from the Spartans pretty quickly.

The Falcons are a legitimate darkhorse to win the Group of 5 bid to the New Year's Six bowl games. They have won eight straight games and are the #1 rushing team in the country (as per usual) combined with the #1 total defense nationally. Against a San Jose State team who is 0-6 ATS in their last six games against the Mountain West, I'll take the road favorite. Air Force wins, 31-17.
