The key here for Baylor is a shift on defense, with a change in coordinator and approach that should have that side playing much better after a step back in 2022. Texas State meanwhile is in Year 1 of a total rebuild and have a roster that barely stacks up in the Sun Belt. Bobcats won't score much, making it easy on the offense to pull across over four quarters.

This opened at 56.5, which I thought was too high so now I obviously like the Under even more. The teams combined for 49 points last season, with Baylor winning 42-7 at home. I don't see a huge reason why that many more points would be scored this time around even with Texas State under new head coach GJ Kinne and his fast-paced offense. Remember, the clock now keeps running when a team gets a first down other than the last two minutes of a half. Baylor should be running all day behind 2022 freshman All-American RB Richard Reese.
