Josh Rosen is healthy and he should be the difference Sunday against an Aggies team starting a redshirt freshman at QB. The Aggies lost so many key players on defense, I expect the Bruins to score with ease. Lay the points.
Last year’s matchup featured an overtime thriller that the Aggies pulled off 31-24. With the Aggies unsettled at quarterback and heading on the road to UCLA, this spot would seem advantageous for the Josh Rosen-led Bruins. Except that Rosen struggled with three interceptions against the Aggies last year and only played in six games last season. His last start was Oct. 8. Expect almost a full year layoff and pressure to perform well to hinder the Bruins and Rosen.
Josh Rosen is the key to this game. Rosen is a Heisman Trophy candidate and possibly a first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. UCLA head coach Jim Mora is a good one. He was brought in to turn around the program and that is just what he did. Winning 29 games in his first three years was the best mark by any coach in UCLA's history. Throw out last year with the injury to Rosen and an inexperienced offensive coordinator. Jedd Fisch is the new OC and a big upgrade. UCLA also has revenge from last year after losing 31-24 in the Rose Bowl. Lay the points.
