This line is very fishy. However, Louisville is by far the better team. The Cardinals have a +20.3-point differential over their last three games as compared to Miami’s -6. The Hurricanes have a lot of question marks at quarterback and a defense that has allowed 324 total yards at home to their opponent.
I'm not sure how much the Hurricanes have left in the tank. The Hurricanes are 2-3 straight up since the horrible loss to Georgia Tech and the they are coming off a 27-20 loss to Florida State. Miami has their six wins so they are bowl eligible. QB Tyler Van Dyke is beat up from head to toe, he had three torn ligaments in his right index finger before the season that is still heavily taped, this back, ribs and right knee are no where near healthy. Van Dyke did not start last week because of this injuries. Freshman Emory Williams started but was lost for the year. Van Dyke was 2 for 7 for 29 yards. Louisville defense has allowed 27 pts L3g.
The Canes threw everything they had at Florida State last week and lost. They benched their starter, only to see the backup get hurt and have to turn back to the starter they no longer believe in. The same starter who said this week he doesn't need football to be happy. Meanwhile, Louisville is a win away from clinching a spot in Charlotte.
The Cards did not look good last week against Virginia, but had extra time out to correct issues and get a start on prep for Miami, which just poured it out in a tough rivalry loss to Florida State. I expect to Louisville to have a good game plan to win and clinch a spot in the ACC Championship Game.
