In a bit of a surprise, the Hurricanes are apparently starting rookie Alex Nedeljkovic in net over veteran Petr Mrazek. That's not to say Nedeljkovic hasn't been terrific with a record 15-5-3 this season with a 1.90 goals-against average and .932 save percentage in 23 starts. The Canes finished with a 6-2-0 record against the Predators in the eight-game season series. Preds netminder Juuse Saros was 1-2-0 in his three series starts with a 2.73 GAA.

These two teams are defense first teams and they both have goalies that have been incredible in net. Alex Nedeljkovic for the Canes is 15-5-2 with a 1.90 GAA and .932 save percentage. He has allowed more than three goals in just two of his 23 starts this season, but both those games were against the Panthers. In three starts against the Preds this season he is 2-1 with a 1.67 GAA. Juuse Saros is 21-11-1 with a 2.28 GAA and .927 save percentage this season and he is 1-2 with a 2.33 GAA against the Canes this season. I expect this game to be low scoring.
