I never thought I would say this, but the Lakers were better on Thursday night when Anthony Davis was not on the floor. He really struggled, going 2 of 10 from the field and he even missed two free throws. But if you are Frank Vogel, to win an NBA title, obviously you're going to need a healthy Anthony Davis. Game two for Davis will be much improved, and the line has dropped from 3.5 in the first game in this series to 2.5 in this spot. The Mavericks were fortunate to cover against the Lakers in game one of this series. I love the Lakers in this spot. There is a revenge factor for them as well.
