If what the Clippers did in Game 5 didn't grab the Warriors attention, I'm not sure what will. I expect the defending champs to come out guns blazing and put this series to bed Friday night.
The trends all point to the Over however I like the slower pace that has been played the last three games and feel it could get even slower for Game 6. In the two games that Golden State lost in this series, the Clippers shot more than 54.0 percent from the field. And in the three games the Warriors won, they held the Clippers to 42.5 percent or less, and L.A. scored 105, 105 and 104. I thought the latter would happen in Game 5, but it did not. The Warriors are great because they can play great defense. The Under is 11-4 in games after they have allowed 125+ points. My projection: Golden State 116-106.
The Clippers have improbably forced the Warriors to a sixth game in the first round. Their eight-point win on the road in Game 5 was impressive, earning them another game in front of their home crowd. With the Rockets waiting in the second round, look for the Warriors to take care of business and win this game. However, the Clippers have a lot of fight in them, so I’ll take the points considering this lofty spread.
