The Cardinals clinched the NL Central last night so they should be giving a majority of their starters the day off, if not all of them. They are locked into the 3 seed in the NL and have nothing to play for. Jose Quintana hasn’t allowed more than two earned runs in a start since being traded. Brandon Woodruff has been very good himself since returning from the IL though. The Brewers have been hitting lefties a lot better lately and I don’t think the Cards will use any of their top relievers either. I like the Brewers at home.
I'm going to play this game for tomorrow before Armageddon (OK, maybe I cried when they left Bruce Willis on the asteroid) hits my area of Florida -- the Cardinals would have NOTHING to play for as long as they hold what is currently a 5-0 lead in the sixth inning as they would clinch the NL Central on Tuesday night (they will be the NL's third seed) and presumably rest guys Wednesday. Milwaukee has to have it as it tries to get a Wild-Card spot. Brewers starter Brandon Woodruff is 7-0 with a 2.16 ERA at home.
