Xander Bogaerts will be in the lineup for Boston after missing Game 1, and it's almost an advantage that the Sox see a lefty for the second game in a row in Steven Matz. The Sox had been 8-3 in their past 11 vs. lefties before being shut down by Robbie Ray in the opener. Matz is no Robbie Ray. Boston is hitting .298 off Matz this year in 11.2 innings. Meanwhile, the Jays haven't seen good young Red Sox starter Tanner Houck (2.50 ERA). Very tough to sweep a road doubleheader, even of seven innings.

The Blue Jays took game 1 of this doubleheader and used their best reliever in doing so. The Red Sox also left plenty of batters on base in the first game. Now the Red Sox have a better starter in Tanner Houck while they get to face Steven Matz who they have hit well this season. Take the Red Sox to get Game 2.
