I think the Red Sox are good underdog value here behind ace Nathan Eovaldi (1-1, 1.46) even though the Twins are starting their ace in Kenta Maeda (1-0, 2.61). Eovaldi has allowed one or zero runs in six straight starts, while Maeda has looked just OK so far this year. It's the first game of a doubleheader, and thus only seven innings. Minnesota is resting two of its best hitters in outfielder Byron Buxton and catcher Mitch Garver -- plus starting shortstop Andrelton Simmons landed on the injured list Wednesday. Boston appears to be starting its key guys in the opener.
