Both pitchers have been unlucky during the 2019 season and they both have great stuff. Their pitches are nasty and extremely hard to hit. In fact, Atlanta's Max Fried is No. 2 in baseball in least amount of barreled up balls per 100 at bats at just 2.6 and Noah Syndergaard is No. 6. They're two of the top 6 pitchers in baseball in regards to not letting batters get good wood on the baseball yet both have BABIP over 300. That means it's been bloopers, bleeders and seeing eye groundballs. I'm going with these two having an old fashion pitchers duel on Sunday.
Noah Syndergaard makes his first start in 15 days after a strained hamstring injury. He made one rehab start in the minors and felt fine. He pitched well in his last two starts, winning both, and the Mets need him at his best more than ever tonight as they ride a seven-game losing streak. Max Fried has been sharp all season with the Braves winning his last five. The wind is blowing in so despite both starters combining to go 22-9 to the Over, I'm betting Under (-114).
