These two starters faced off about a month ago with completely different results. Mike Leake had his worst outing of the season giving up nine runs (five earned) in five innings, while Mike Minor had one of his best outings of the season. He gave up one run on three hits in seven innings while striking out a season-high 13 in a 15-1 win. Although Seattle is tied for second in the league at scoring runs, they are only 12th in the league at scoring runs against lefties while Texas is third in the league at scoring against righties. The Rangers are 14-8 at home and 7-1 as the favorite. Lay the favorite.

Rangers lefty Mike Minor has been lights out at home this season, going 2-1 with a 1.88 ERA and fanning 26 batters in 28.2 innings. Seattle has won just one of its last eight games vs. left-handed starters. Texas improved to 14-8 at home Sunday with a two-run, 10th-inning rally, and I look for the Rangers to keep the momentum going in Monday's series opener against the Mariners.
