The 2024 NFL season continues on Sunday, with eight games scheduled in the early window and four games in the late window. The first NFL Sunday is always one of the top days on the sporting calendar and NFL prop bettors everywhere will be on the hunt for value after another crazy NFL offseason. Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield was the NFL's Most Improved Player last year and he'll open his season against a Commanders pass defense that ranked last in the NFL in 2023.
The latest NFL prop odds list Mayfield's over/under for total passing yards at 245.5. Before betting any NFL props for Sunday afternoon's 12-game slate or entering selections on sites like PrizePicks and Underdog Fantasy, you need to see the NFL prop predictions powered by SportsLine AI.
Built using cutting-edge artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques by SportsLine's Data Science team, AI Predictions and AI Ratings are generated for each game. The AI predictions are determined by statistically learning from each team's historical data then quantitatively evaluating the strength of the opponents' defense by assigning a numeric value out of 100 called a matchup score.
Once a prediction is formulated, the AI rating is generated using the prediction, the matchup score, and the odds of the market. For example, you could see a 5-star rating on an over bet if a team is facing a poor defense, their prediction differs from the line and there are favorable odds.
In addition, SportsLine AI is the first fully automated predictive model at SportsLine. It continuously refreshes on the most recent available data and can help you spot the biggest discrepancies in the lines. Last season, SportsLine's AI PickBot hit a whopping 1,674 4.5- and 5-star prop picks. Anyone who has followed it is WAY UP!
Now, the AI PickBot has scoured the Week 1 NFL player props market and locked in its most confident picks.
One thing we can tell you, the AI PickBot is predicting that Saints running back Alvin Kamara goes over 29.5 receiving yards for a -114 payout. Despite missing four games last year, Kamara was heavily involved in the New Orleans passing attack. He caught 75 passes for 466 yards in nine of the 13 contests that he participated in. The model is predicting he finishes with 42.7 receiving yards on average and rates the over as a 5-star play.
The AI PickBot has also locked in confident best bets for all 12 games during the NFL's Sunday afternoon slate. It's giving a five-star rating on a receptions prop with a plus-money payout and has four other NFL props rated 5 stars or better.
