Today's picks: Dolphins-Saints best bets, plus college football picks for Monday, Dec. 27
SportsLine's proven experts share their favorite bets on the Early Edge podcast for Monday, Dec. 27

Coming off a historic day, Jonathan Coachman is joined by top sports betting experts Mike McClure, Chip Patterson, and Zack Cimini on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. Get highlighted plays for the NFL and college football for Monday, Dec. 27, and you can stream the show live every morning on the SportsLine YouTube page.
Chip leads off by urging us to closely follow college football beat reporters. He then takes an in-depth look at the personnel and coaching issues for Nevada heading into the Quick Lane Bowl. Jacob Hallex, known to the Early Edge audience as "The Jeweler", drops in with his play for the PDC World Darts Championship.
Mike's NFL selection is the Saints +3 over the Dolphins at 8:15 p.m. ET. Despite New Orleans starting a third-string rookie quarterback, Mike is on the home underdog. He cites Ian Book's rushing ability and says Sean Payton will be well prepared for the challenge. The Saints still have Alvin Kamara, too.
Zack is on the opposing side, tapping the Dolphins at -3. "When you go against a winning streak, that's usually bad," he says. "Miami has played this style all year long, where they are facing opponents that are not cream of the crop. They limit what Tua Tagovailoa does, but what they do has worked. The defense gets timely interceptions and turnovers."
Chip is firm on Western Michigan -7 over Nevada in the Quick Lane Bowl at 11 a.m. ET. The Broncos pass rush will be just too much for a backup QB to handle. An explosive Western Michigan passing attack will surely put this game out of reach against a very depleted Wolf Pack squad.
