The Washington Nationals host the New York Mets in an NL East matchup at 1:05 p.m. ET on Thursday. New York is listed as a -160 favorite (risk $160 to win $100) at Caesars Sportsbook, while the Over-Under is set at 8.5 (see up-to-date odds for every game this week on our MLB odds page).
Before making any Mets vs. Nationals picks, you NEED to check out the MLB predictions from the SportsLine Projection Model.
The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every MLB game 10,000 times and it is off to a sizzling start to the 2022 season. It's on a 31-19 roll on top-rated MLB money-line picks through five weeks, returning almost $800 for $100 players. Anyone following it has seen HUGE returns!
The model knows the Mets have a starting pitching advantage. New York will send Taijuan Walker to the hill, and the veteran right-hander is a former All-Star. Walker has a 3.81 ERA since the start of the 2017 season, and he has a large experience advantage over Nationals starter Joan Adon. From there, Adon has the most walks (18) in the NL this season and an ugly 6.99 ERA across six starts in 2022.
The model also knows the Nationals are producing well in key areas on offense. Washington is in the top three of the NL with 274 hits and a .256 batting average. The Nationals also have 53 doubles, and Washington is striking out on only 7.9 percent of plate appearances. Nationals hitters have a .320 on-base percentage, and Washington enjoyed success with an eight-run performance on Wednesday.
Now, it has set its sights on Mets vs. Nationals. We can tell you the model is leaning over the total, and it also says one team has all the value! You ABSOLUTELY need to see it before locking in any MLB picks.
