Horse racing's Triple Crown commences on Saturday when the starting gate opens in the 2025 Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville. Two weeks after the Kentucky Derby 2025, the Triple Crown will resume with the Preakness Stakes in Baltimore. The series concludes on June 7 with the Belmont Stakes in Saratoga Springs. On Saturday, Santa Anita Derby winner Journalism is the 3-1 favorite in the 2025 Kentucky Derby odds. Fountain of Youth Stakes sensation Sovereignty (5-1) and Arkansas Derby conqueror Sandman (6-1) round out the top-three favorites in the 19-horse 2025 Kentucky Derby field. Post time is 6:57 p.m. ET.
