Jacksonville Jaguars 2022 futures: Super Bowl odds, win total picks, best bets, schedule and more

After a disastrous year under Urban Meyer, the Jaguars are ready for a fresh start in 2022.

Jacksonville has the look of a team that is one year away from serious contention. To say the Urban Meyer era was a disaster would be an understatement. New coach Doug Pederson went 7-9 in his first year in Philadelphia (2016) before going 13-3 and nabbing a Super Bowl title in year two. With the last two first overall draft picks on the roster, quarterback Trevor Lawrence and linebacker Travon Walker, the Jaguars' future looks to be bright. Adding to the team's intrigue this season is the debut of the team's other 2021 first-round pick, Travis Etienne, who missed last year with a foot injury.

The Jaguars open with four of their first six games on the road, which is rough for their new coach and relatively inexperienced quarterback. They also close with four of their last seven on the road. By playing in London yearly, Jacksonville has the disadvantage of only playing seven true home games, though the experience on the road might benefit them in years to come.

While it's unlikely that the Jaguars can make a 2021 Cincinnati-like jump to the playoffs and beyond, long shot-seeking bettors might take a shot at the plus-money on the over 6.5 wins and to make the playoffs. Pederson should bring a renewed energy and positive vibes to an organization that has been in desperate need of them since their AFC Championship Game run in 2017-18. If Lawrence somehow makes a Joe Burrow-like leap in year two, Jacksonville could be one of the surprises of the 2022-23 season.

Below, you'll find the Jacksonville Jaguars 2022 schedule, win total and more futures odds from Caesars Sportsbook, followed by picks from top SportsLine NFL analysts Larry Hartstein, R.J. White and Alex Selesnick. You'll also find three bets favored by the SportsLine Projection Model.

Entering the 2022 NFL season, Larry is 427-344 all-time on NFL sides (plus $3,764 for $100 players), including 394-330 ATS. He went 68-50 ATS (58 percent) and 8-3 on moneyline plays last season for a profit of $1,552. Over the past seven years, R.J.'s SuperContest picks are 329-250-21 (56.8 percent) and he consistently crushes the NFL: He went 445-378-24 on ATS picks from 2017-21, returning $2,542 to $100 players as SportsLine's No. 1 NFL expert in against the spread picks. Selesnick (aka PropStarz) specializes in MLB, NFL and NBA prop betting, where he implements a combination of research, statistical analysis and mathematical modeling to deliver profitable long-term results.
