The 2025-26 college basketball season began for most teams on Monday, but several others will tip off on Tuesday including No. 6 Duke and Texas. The two will meet in the 2025 Dick Vitale Invitational, making it one of the few matchups of power conference teams to tip off the season. Duke went 35-4 last year, winning the ACC regular season and tournament championship before bowing out in the Final Four. Texas went 19-16 last year, placing 13th in the SEC and losing in the First Four of March Madness.
