Dallas Cowboys 2022 futures: Super Bowl odds, win total picks, best bets, schedule and more

The Cowboys will try to be the rare repeat NFC East winner, but their sights are set on bigger goals.

It's hard to believe that "America's Team" hasn't won a Super Bowl in more than a quarter century. For how much Jerry Jones has spent on players, stadiums, amenities, you-name-it, the Cowboys haven't played in the game since 1996. Incredibly, 21 NFL teams have most recently played in a Super Bowl than the Cowboys, which almost makes the casual observer wonder if they're jinxed in some way.

Mike McCarthy's team looks to be well-balanced on both sides of the ball. The Cowboys are playoff-caliber good once again and certainly have the potential to make some noise in the weaker of the two conferences, the NFC.

The schedule is favorable with five of the first eight games at home, though they do face both reigning Super Bowl teams in the first five weeks. The five road games in the latter half of the season include tough tests at Green Bay, Minnesota, and Tennessee, though only three of the final nine games are against 2021 playoff teams. Assuming injuries don't ravage this team, a playoff berth looks to be a fairly likely scenario and the -280 line on Caesars backs that up.

The Cowboys tend to be one of the most blindly bet teams when it comes to futures based on their name recognition and wide swaths of fans. The +1800 Super Bowl odds aren't nearly as appealing as the +800 NFC odds considering that on paper, the AFC's top teams seem to have an edge on the NFC's this year. The Cowboys appear to be one of a handful of NFC teams that have a realistic shot at making the Super Bowl whereas a reasonable case can be made for approximately half of the AFC teams. Their NFC East odds are the best bet though, considering the Commanders and Giants don't seem to be too competitive and +115 is a generous heads-up vs. the Jalen Hurts-led Eagles.

Below, you'll find the Dallas Cowboys 2022 schedule, win total and more futures odds from Caesars Sportsbook, followed by picks from top SportsLine NFL analysts Larry Hartstein and R.J. White. You'll also find three bets favored by the SportsLine Projection Model.

Entering the 2022 NFL season, Larry is 427-344 all-time on NFL sides (plus $3,764 for $100 players), including 394-330 ATS. He went 68-50 ATS (58 percent) and 8-3 on moneyline plays last season for a profit of $1,552. Over the past seven years, R.J.'s SuperContest picks are 329-250-21 (56.8 percent) and he consistently crushes the NFL: He went 445-378-24 on ATS picks from 2017-21, returning $2,542 to $100 players as SportsLine's No. 1 NFL expert in against the spread picks.
