The 2023 college football season begins on Aug. 26 with the Week 0 college football schedule. No. 13 Notre Dame opens its season against Navy in Dublin, while No. 6 USC hosts San Jose State later in the day. The seven-game slate begins at 2:30 p.m. ET in Ireland before concluding with Louisiana Tech vs. Florida International at 9 p.m. ET on CBS Sports Network.

Before making any college football picks for those games or others in Week 0, be sure to see what the SportsLine Projection Model has to say.

The SportsLine Projection Model simulates every FBS college football game 10,000 times. Since its inception, the proprietary computer model has generated a stunning profit of almost $2,500 for $100 players on its top-rated college football picks against the spread. Anyone who has followed it has seen HUGE returns.

Now, it has studied the latest college football odds (see the latest college football lines for each matchup this week on our college football odds page), simulated every single play for every Week 0 game, and the results are in.

One of the college picks the model is high on during Week 0: San Diego State cruises to a double-digit win as a 2.5-point home favorite against Ohio on Aug. 26 at 7 p.m. ET. The Aztecs have gone 13 consecutive seasons without a losing campaign after going 7-6 last year. Their defense continues to be among the best in the country, ranking inside the top 25 in total defense every year since 2013.

They added wide receiver Raphael Williams from Western Carolina, where he caught 117 passes for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns over the last two seasons. San Diego State beat eventual MAC champion Toledo last year, so they will be confident heading into this game against a MAC foe. Ohio's defense struggled at the beginning of the 2022 campaign, allowing an average of 561 yards per game over its first six contests.

The model has also made the call on who wins and covers in every other FBS matchup, and it's calling for multiple teams to win in blowout fashion!

So which college football teams should you back in Week 0? And which teams win in blowout fashion? ... Join SportsLine now to see who wins and covers every single game, all from the model that has returned almost $2,500 in profit on top-rated ATS picks over the past seven seasons!
