2024 French Open women's odds, picks: Swiatek vs. Gauff semifinals best bets and predictions from proven expert

Tennis betting expert Jose Onorato, who is 160-104-8 -- +97.32 units -- since 2022, has released his picks for the 2024 French Open women's semifinal match between Iga Swiatek and Cori "Coco" Gauff

Top-ranked Iga Swiatek will look to reach her third consecutive French Open Final as she battles third-ranked Cori "Coco" Gauff in the 2024 French Open semifinals on Thursday at Roland Garros in Paris, France. Swiatek defeated Gauff 6-4, 6-3 last month at Internazionali BNL d'Italia in Rome to move to 10-1 all-time against the American. Swiatek, 23, who is 43-4 this year, has won three of the last four French Open titles, including two in a row, and has four grand slam titles since turning pro in 2016.

The match will be played on Thursday at 4 a.m. ET. Swiatek is the overwhelming -900 favorite (risk $900 to win $100) in the latest Swiatek vs. Gauff odds, while Gauff is the +500 underdog. The over/under for total games is 18.5, with Swiatek favored by 5.5 games (-140).

Before you make any Swiatek vs. Gauff picks or 2024 French Open predictions, you need to see what tennis expert Jose Onorato has to say.

Onorato grew up playing competitive tennis in Caracas, Venezuela. After coming to the U.S., he trained with famed coach Nick Bollettieri at IMG Academy in Florida and faced players like Robert Farah, now one of the world's top-ranked doubles players.

Onorato, who holds dual degrees in finance and economics from the University of Miami, does extensive research before placing any tennis bets. He studies current form, players' tendencies on a particular surface, weather conditions and many other relevant factors. That systematic approach has helped Onorato go 160-104-8 -- up 97.32 units -- since 2022.

Onorato knows that Swiatek of Poland has been on a roll. After losing in the semifinals at Stuttgart in April, she has not lost since. She cruised to the Madrid championship in early May, playing three sets just twice, before dominating in Rome in mid-May. In that tournament, she did not play more than two sets in any match, including a 6-2, 6-3 win over Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus in the championship.

But Onorato also has taken into account that Gauff is more than capable of pulling off the upset. She has posted a 12-3 record on clay this year, and reached the semifinals of the Rome Tournament, where she was beaten by Swiatek. Gauff has compiled a 205-90 (69.5%) career record, including a 59-24 (71.1%) mark on clay.

For Thursday, Onorato has scrutinized the Swiatek vs. Gauff matchup in the women's semifinals of the 2024 French Open and released his coveted top picks. We can tell you that one of his picks is Under 18.5 total games (+100), but he has another pick on the winner and the number of sets the match will last. You ABSOLUTELY need to see what they are before locking in any 2024 French Open picks of your own!
