It's time for the final major of the PGA Tour season, and it's a special one, with the 2022 Open Championship set to tee off on the Old Course at St. Andrews. Xander Schauffele comes in fresh off his second straight win last week at the Scottish Open. He will face a stacked British Open 2022 field that includes world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, the Masters champion, as well as U.S. Open winner Matt Fitzpatrick and PGA champ Justin Thomas. Also featured in the Open Championship 2022 field are 15-time major champion Tiger Woods, four-time winner Rory McIlroy and defending champ Collin Morikawa. 

Caesars Sportsbook lists McIlroy as the 9-1 favorite in its latest 2022 Open Championship odds. Schauffele (14-1), Jon Rahm (14-1), Scheffler (16-1), Jordan Spieth (16-1), Fitzpatrick (18-1) and Thomas (18-1) are all priced as top contenders. Morikawa is in a group at 25-1 in the 2022 Open Championship field, while Woods is a 60-1 long shot.

At the Charles Schwab, he had both winner Sam Burns (28-1) and Davis Riley (45-1) among his contenders. And before the PGA Championship, he touted Cameron Young, who came in at 65-1 and tied for third. For the Wells Fargo, he backed winner Max Homa (40-1) and runner-up Keegan Bradley (35-1), and even had Stephan Jaeger (125-1) among his contenders as the German tied for sixth. Anyone who has followed Holliman's predictions is WAY UP!

The Spaniard tied for third at The Open last year, but his game has been sub-par this year and he comes in off a T-55 at the Scottish Open.
