A strong post-major field is on hand this week as the PGA Tour heads to Colonial Country Club for the 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge, which tees off Thursday. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will try to rebound this week in Fort Worth, Texas after missing the cut at last week's PGA Championship. Justin Thomas will be right back in action after winning his second major last week at Southern Hills. Jordan Spieth, the runner-up to Jason Kokrak at Colonial last year, and Collin Morikawa are among the other top players in the Charles Schwab 2022 field.

Caesars Sportsbook lists Scheffler as the 10-1 favorite in its latest 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge golf odds, with Thomas right behind at 12-1. Spieth is priced at 14-1, followed by Morikawa (16-1) and Hovland (18-1). Kokrak is a 40-1 long shot to win the Charles Schwab 2022 title.

Before you consider your 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge picks or make any PGA Tour predictions, you NEED to see what proven golf insider Sal Johnson has to say.

The esteemed golf insider has been around the game for many years and knows what it takes to win on the PGA Tour.

Before last week's PGA Championship, Johnson predicted that if Justin Thomas made his putts he could definiteley win. Thomas had his best week of the season on the greens, gaining more than 1.5 strokes putting to rank second in the field. The result? He beat Will Zalatoris in a playoff to win his second PGA Championship.

In his previous set of predictions for SportsLine, he NAILED the Masters for the third time in four years! Johnson backed Scheffler, saying he was "on a run where he has been hard to beat, and I see it rolling on at Augusta National." The 25-year-old got his fourth victory of the season.

Now Johnson, the first producer of "Inside the PGA Tour" and longtime ABC Sports golf producer who worked with Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer, has released his highly confident 2022 Charles Schwab Challenge picks.

Shockingly, Johnson is fading Scheffler, who might need some time to get his game back after the major disappointment last week. Johnson is among those wondering why he took so much time off after winning the Masters given his hot hand. Now he looks lost, and he doesn't have a good track record at Colonial.

Instead, the expert is VERY high on an ENORMOUS long shot who comes in at right around 100-1. "Here is a guy who could really surprise us all and win this week." Johnson says. If he does, it would net a MONSTER PAYDAY! You ABSOLUTELY need to see who it is before entering any Charles Schwab Challenge picks!
