The Blue Raiders have the far better defense, ranking 25th in the country in yards per play (4.66). UTSA ranks 102nd (6.03). Middle Tennessee beat the Hurricanes in Miami last week, 45-31. Both teams are playing their first Conference USA game. I'm on the Blue Raiders.

UTSA quarterback Frank Harris is one of the most prolific quarterbacks in the country, and I think while Middle Tennessee was able to hold Miami to just 1.6 yards per carry it won't be able to bottle up Harris and the Road Runners offense quite as well. But Middle Tennessee should be able to score a good bit too against a UTSA defense that ranks No. 112 nationally in total defense.
