Think of 'Public' as the percentage of people betting on each side and 'Money' as how much money is being bet. When there's a big difference between the 'Public' and 'Money' data, it usually means that the more serious bettors (referred to as 'Sharp Money') are favoring a particular side.

    Mike's Analysis:

Duke was uncharacteristically awful last year under standout coach David Cutcliffe, who enters his 14th season in Durham. A turnaround is likely this year. The Blue Devils did record one blowout win ... over Charlotte, 53-19. The 49ers are 0-6 straight-up versus Power Five foes. Its 2020 season expired in October after just a half-dozen outings, so rust is a factor. Duke’s straight-up 9-4 record in openers under Cutcliffe is impressive, given that the two conquerors were top-ranked Alabama teams and another was Notre Dame. The coach surely will find an antidote for the turnover bug (39, most in D-1) that bedeviled last season’s Devils.
