USC staggered out of last Sunday’s impressive win over Arizona with too many injuries to enumerate. (A snapshot: The former fifth-string RB was deployed.) Worse, the Trojans have one fewer day than normal to recuperate. They fare poorly under any circumstances on the road, with a recent 4-11-1 ATS mark, and the home team has missed covering once in the past seven meetings. Colorado has weathered a pair of bad road losses. In their first four games, however, the Buffaloes took three straight-up and dropped the other in OT.
Colorado has one of the better receivers in the country in Laviska Shenault Jr. He's a very versatile athlete who gets moved around for the Buffaloes. Outside of his ability, Colorado isn't dynamic enough to make this a track meet. I do like how USC's defense can get pressure without blitzing. Look for the Trojans defense to do a great job of slowing down Shenault and the Buffs. Take USC.
