Air Force is a wagon with wings. Favored by 9 against Utah State, Air Force won by 18. Favored by 6.5 at San Jose State, Air Force won by 25. The only time Air Force hasn't covered was getting pulled down into the muck that is Sam Houston's glacial pace of play. The numbers haven't caught up to Air Force's level here in 2023, so let's ride the flying wagon.

If I had a vote in the AP Top 25, Air Force would rank inside the top-20. They have won nine straight games overall, kept 11 straight opponents under 21 points, and lead the nation BY FAR in rushing offense (340.5 yards per game). San Diego State has been poor against the run this year, 31st worst, and they have given up 31 points per game in their last four outings. The Falcons cover easily, 27-10.

San Diego State is a solid football team. This week they are running up against, not only a solid team in Air Force, but one that plays with a high level of discipline and execution on offense. Defensively, they are one of the best total defenses in college football. Tough matchup for the Aztecs.
