Lookahead NFL Week 2 Vegas spreads and betting odds: Tom Brady's Bucs home debut

William Hill sportsbook already has odds out for Week 2 of the NFL season.

Tom Brady will make his Tampa Bay Buccaneers home debut in Week 2 of this NFL season, but no fans will be on hand to cheer Brady on at Raymond James Stadium next Sunday because of the coronavirus – the Bucs aren't allowing fans for at least the first two home games. RJS also happens to be the site of Super Bowl 55. William Hill sportsbook has released lines for Week 2, and Brady's Bucs are 8-point favorites over the Carolina Panthers, although that spread certainly could change as could all lookahead lines depending on what happens in Week 1 and injuries, etc.

Believe it or not, the Bucs haven't been home favorites of at least 7.5 points since way back in the 2011 season. Before that, it hadn't happened since 2008.

The first game of Week 2 is the battle for Ohio on Thursday night and a matchup of former Heisman Trophy winners as Joe Burrow and the Bengals visit Baker Mayfield and the Browns, who opened as 2.5-point favorites. Cleveland has only covered two of the past 10 in the series.

There is just one double-digit favorite on the early lines, and that's the Tennessee Titans at -11 against visiting the Jacksonville Jaguars, who are going to be double-digit underdogs often in 2020 most likely. Interesting, though, that the Titans are giving so many points considering they will be on a short week after visiting Denver on Monday night. Tennessee has been at least a 10.5-point favorite just twice since 2010 and failed to cover both.

Two West Coast teams have dreaded 1 p.m. ET kickoffs on Sunday in Week 2. San Francisco is a 6-point favorite at the New York Jets, and the Los Angeles Rams are 3.5-point underdogs in Philadelphia.

There are only two games in Week 2 featuring matchups of 2019 playoff teams.

Baltimore opened as a 5-point favorite in Houston, although that spread could grow (depending on what Ravens do on Sunday) with the Texans largely being dominated on Thursday night in Kansas City.

In the Sunday night game, New England is +3.5 at Seattle. The Patriots are just 3-7 straight up and against the spread in the past 10 in the series, but they won the one that really counted: 28-24 in Super Bowl XLIX when Russell Wilson was picked off at the New England goal line in the final seconds by Malcolm Butler.
