The Rays seem to have a knack of finding pitchers and Zack Littell looks like he might be their latest discovery. Littell's first two starts this season have been highly encouraging, with an 0.82 ERA, though the relievers didn't handle the lead that Littell handed them last Friday at Denver. Tampa Bay forced a rubber match of this weekend set with last night's 6-4 win at the Big A, and we are back in the shaky end of the Halos rotation, with Ron Washington opting for reliever Jose Soriano to make his first-ever MLB start as an effective extended "opener" this afternoon. Play Rays on Run Line
The Rays were playing below their ceiling for a second but have now won three of four after a fluky loss last Friday. Zack Littel takes the ball for the Rays and he's been excellent this season after finishing last year strong. The Angels haven't seen this version of him and he'll throw very well. The Angels counter with Jose Soriano and very likely a handful of relievers. I really love the Rays here on getaway day.
