Zach Thompson has been much more hit or miss lately and he doesn’t get deep into games. But he did pitch five scoreless against the Dbacks earlier this season and the Pirates bullpen has been really good lately. They actually have the second lowest bullpen ERA since the All-Star break. Tommy Henry is making just his second career start and he walked 3 batters and allowed 4 ER in 5 IP in his first start. The Pirates have been terrible on the road at 1-5 since the ASB while the Dbacks have been much better at home at 8-2 but they didn’t play good teams at home. The Diamondbacks bullpen is also a bit worked with their top two relievers pitching 3 of the last 4 nights. Take the value in the Pirates.
