I can't believe there's a "+" by the Giants. Yes, I understand they are starting Scott Kazmir, but they are facing a Padres team that has earned the "hapless" moniker at this point. The Padres have lost nine of their last 11 games and are 10-25 since Aug. 10. The Giants, meanwhile, have won 12 of 15 and are continuing to play at a scorching place. They are 49-27 on the road. Kazmir starting is cancelled out by the Padres running Vince Velasquez -- 6.09 ERA this season after 5.56 last year with a 4.90 career mark -- to the mound as Kazmir's counterpart. Ride the Giants.
