We were right again in avoiding the Chiefs as a teaser leg, but that doesn't mean it was a good week for teasers, with both the Jaguars (our top teaser pick) and the Eagles failing to cover their teased numbers. Our other three picks all did cover as teaser legs, and all needed the teaser to do it, so hopefully some people were able to put in profitable teasers last week.

This week, there aren't a lot of teaser options that fall neatly in the range we target. Of course, lines are going to move between now and Sunday, so it's possible more options emerge. We'll cover the games in our teaser rankings that look like they'll have teaser potential at some point, but one that won't make the list is the Eagles.

The Philadelphia defense played a marathon game against the Bills two weeks ago, and it showed last week as they got beat up and down the field by the 49ers. They won't get much of a break this week with a trip to Dallas to face a Cowboys team that leads the league in points per game. Some of that has come on the defensive side of the ball, but the Eagles are below average in sack rate and interception rate on the year, so game-changing defensive plays are certainly on the table for the Cowboys this week. The Cowboys have topped 400 yards in four of their last five games, and 40 points in four of their last six games. There is certainly potential for Dallas to win by double digits this week if anything goes wrong for the Eagles offense. But if you believe that won't happen, I'd certainly recommend backing the Eagles at +3.5 on the spread rather than mess with them in a teaser, where there's less value in the price you're laying on the teased line.
