The 2020 RBC Heritage tees off Thursday at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, S.C., as the PGA Tour tries to get back to normal. World No. 1 Rory McIlroy is the 11-1 favorite to win the event, according to William Hill. Before you make any 2020 RBC Heritage picks of your own, you NEED to see who Sal Johnson is backing.

The golf media legend had a very strong 2019 season. He featured Tiger Woods in his best bets for the Masters and backed Brooks Koepka in his picks for the PGA Championship, and both players pulled off major victories. He completely nailed the season-ending Tour Championship. He predicted that McIlroy, Koepka or Xander Schauffele could come out on top, and McIlroy won the event for the second time, with Schauffele coming in second and Koepka tied for third. Anyone who followed Johnson's advice saw HUGE returns.

He also knows the trick to doing well at Harbour Town, where the last four champions were first-time PGA Tour winners. Johnson pegged one of those, picking Branden Grace as one of his solid contenders in 2016. Johnson noted that Grace had finished seventh at the Heritage the previous year and "can play well on courses like Harbour Town." The South African shot 9 under par to win by two strokes for what remains his only PGA Tour victory

Now, Johnson, the first producer of "Inside the PGA Tour," a longtime ABC Sports golf producer and the founder of the world's biggest golf stats database, has issued his highly confident picks for the 2020 RBC Heritage. They WILL surprise you.

We can tell you Johnson is fading Jon Rahm, even though the world's second-ranked golfer is one of the top Vegas favorites. Instead, Johnson is all over a MONSTER long shot who has one prior PGA Tour victory! This young golfer does well on courses that require clutch shot-making, and he could be in line for a shocking victory! Anyone who backs this underdog could hit it BIG!
