As Philip Rivers enters the offseason, there appears to be plenty of uncertainty surrounding his future. Rivers is 38 now and after 16 seasons with the Chargers, it appears unlikely that he'll return in 2020.

The former No. 4 overall pick in the 2004 NFL Draft is out of contract and the Chargers are expected to pursue their next starting quarterback in the draft. And while it's possible that they bring him back to serve as a bridge to whoever their next quarterback might be, several teams with quarterback issues will be hoping to do the same with Rivers announcing he's open to a move and will play in 2020.

Rivers is coming off a down season, averaging just 7.8 yards per pass attempt and throwing 23 touchdowns against 20 interceptions. However, the season prior he averaged 8.5 yards per pass attempt and threw 32 touchdowns and 12 interceptions and with quarterback play serving as a serious issues for several teams with playoff-caliber rosters, Rivers might be worth a shot.

With that in mind, SportsLine oddsmakers have taken a look at where Rivers might wind up in 2020. These odds are for informational purposes only.

Which team will Philip Rivers be with Week 1 of the 2020 season?

    Bucs -150
    Colts +300
    Bears +500
    Dolphins +600
    Chargers +800

At the top of the odds board, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers certainly make sense as a potential landing spot. Bruce Arians is one of the most quarterback-friendly coaches in the NFL and the Buccaneers have two upper-echelon wide receivers in Chris Godwin and Mike Evans. As turnover-prone as Rivers was in 2019, he'd be a massive improvement over Jameis Winston, who threw 30 interceptions.

Meanwhile, even though Jacoby Brissett protected the football for the Colts after Andrew Luck's unexpected retirement. However, the Colts didn't make many explosive plays with Brissett at the helm and his cap hit balloons from about $9.4 million to nearly $21.4 million this offseason. If they can get Rivers at a reasonable price, they may look to move on from Brissett and then address the position in the draft as well.

If Rivers is looking to compete for a championship in 2020, the Chicago Bears might be his best option. Chicago went from 12-4 in 2018 to 8-8 in 2019 and the regression of Mitchell Trubisky was a big reason for the dropoff. But Chicago's roster is still one of the best in the NFL and with improved quarterback play and some improvement in their running game, they could reopen a contention window.

The Dolphins are also expected to be in the market for a quarterback in the draft, but Rivers could help get them there and he'd be an upgrade over Ryan Fitzpatrick. Of course, Rivers could cut the Chargers a deal after 16 seasons with the franchise and could also serve as their bridge quarterback as they look ahead at quarterback. But with Rivers making the permanent move from San Diego to Florida this offseason, Southern California might not be "home" anymore.
