    Conference and potential playoff contenders TCU and Oklahoma State each face huge road tests this week. SportsLine's projections provide a scoop on the outcomes.

    Below are the matchups for Week 9 of the Big 12, with projected final scores and statistics. Projections are updated every 10 minutes.

    Saturday, Oct. 28

    TEXAS AT BAYLOR, Noon ET 

    SportsLine Projection Model’s score: Texas 29, Baylor 21

    Nevada sportsbook line: Texas -7.5, O/U 57

    Projected statistics: Baylor QB Zach Smith throws for 306 yards and at least one touchdown in the losing effort. Receiver Denzel Mims records 113 yards and grabs a touchdown. Texas QB Shane Buechele throws for 306 yards and two touchdowns, while veteran RB Chris Warren III gains 92 yards on the ground.

    OKLAHOMA STATE AT WEST VIRGINIA, Noon ET 

    SportsLine Projection Model's score: Oklahoma State 38, West Virginia 31

    Nevada sportsbook line: Oklahoma State -7.5, O/U 73.5

    Projected statistics: Oklahoma State QB Mason Rudolph throws for 384 yards and at least two touchdowns in the victory. Running back Justice Hill gains 105 yards on 17 carries. West Virginia signal-caller Will Grier tallies 321 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Running back Justin Crawford leads a balanced ground attack with 88 yards.

    KANSAS STATE AT KANSAS, 3 p.m. ET 

    SportsLine Projection Model’s score: Kansas State 40, Kansas 19

    Nevada sportsbook line: Kansas State -24, O/U 55.5

    Projected statistics: Kansas State’s dual-threat QB Jesse Ertz throws for 180 yards, rushes for 54 and registers two combined touchdowns. Kansas signal-caller Peyton Bender throws for 254 yards with a touchdown. Khalil Herbert gains 55 of the team’s 127 rushing yards.

    TCU AT IOWA STATE, 3:30 p.m. ET 

    SportsLine Projection Model’s score: TCU 26, Iowa State 25

    Nevada sportsbook line: TCU -6/5, O/U 51

    Projected statistics: TCU quarterback Kenny Hill compiles 249 passing yards with at least one touchdown and the high likelihood of an interception. The Frogs use a balanced rushing attack to gain 155 yards. Iowa State QB Kyle Kempt puts up 293 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. David Montgomery gains 61 yards.

    TEXAS TECH AT OKLAHOMA, 8 p.m. ET

    Nevada sportsbook line: Oklahoma -19, O/U 73

    Projected statistics: Oklahoma QB Baker Mayfield lights up the Texas Tech defense for 387 passing yards and four touchdowns. Trey Sermon leads a balanced ground game with 68 yards. Red Raiders QB Nic Shimonek throws for 353 yards and two touchdowns with an interception. Da’Leon Ward gains 63 of the team’s 115 rushing yards.
