World class horse racing takes place at Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Ky., and on Saturday the late Pick 5 begins with the TK at TK p.m. ET and ends with TK. Before you make any picks, you NEED to know how SportsLine writer Gene Menez has handicapped the sequence.

A former reporter and editor at Sports Illustrated, Menez covered an array of sports, including horse racing, for the magazine and its website for almost 14 years. Between 2010 and 2012, he served as SI's handicapper for the Triple Crown races and correctly predicted Super Saver to win the Kentucky Derby in 2010. In 2015, while writing for Sports on Earth, Menez accurately gave out the Kentucky Derby superfecta (American Pharoah, Firing Line, Dortmund and Frosted), which paid $1,268.20 for $2. Then in 2017, he tweeted out his Kentucky Derby picks, including Always Dreaming to win, and hit the Pick 4, which paid almost $6,900 on a $1 bet.

In a span of seven races last year, he cashed the winner of the Lecomte Stakes, the exacta in the Southwest Stakes ($468), the winner of the Holy Bull Stakes, the winner of the Sam F. Davis Stakes, and the trifecta in the Jenny Wiley Stakes. In May, he nailed National Treasure's win in the Preakness.

For Saturday, Menez has handicapped the late Pick 5 at Keeneland, made his picks and constructed his tickets.

We can tell you that Menez is high on Encino, a 5-1 shot in the Lexington Stakes, the fourth leg of the Pick 5. "He has raced exclusively on synthetic, but his breeding (son of Nyquist out of a Bernardini mare) suggests the dirt should not be a problem," Menez told SportsLine. Encino is Menez's top pick in the Lexington Stakes and the only horse from the race on his Pick 5 tickets.

In addition, Menez is high on a big double-digit longshot on Saturday. He says this longshot "is getting back to where he belongs" and could spice up the Pick 5. Menez is including this longshot on his tickets, and so should you. You NEED to see Menez's analysis before making any Pick 5 selections.

So which double-digit longshot can win? And how has Menez constructed his Pick 5 tickets? ... Join SportsLine now to get Pick 5 selections at Keeneland for Saturday, all from the racing writer who has covered the game for years!
