Lee Hodges's victory at the 3M Open showed what a late-season push can do those on the FedEx Cup bubble. Ascending from 74th to 33rd in the season-long race, Hodges now has the inside track to play himself into the BMW Championship and potentially the Tour Championship at East Lake.

Many players will aim to do the same this week as the 2023 Wyndham Championship represents the regular season finale. As such, a number of competitors will be putting everything on the line, including 15-time PGA Tour winner Justin Thomas who is listed at 30-1. 

Fresh off a missed cut at the 3M Open, the two-time PGA Championship winner finds himself on the outside looking in for the postseason. Without having collected a paycheck in five of his last seven tournaments, Thomas is in need of massive week in Greensboro, North Carolina or else his season will be over.

Tournament favorite Sungjae Im and Hideki Matsuyama are comfortably inside the top 70 cut-off that makes it into next week's St. Jude Championship. Major champions Adam Scott and Shane Lowry are in similar positions to Thomas and in need of a quality outing to qualify for the playoffs.
