Cam Davis attempts to defend his championship when he competes in the 2022 Rocket Mortgage Classic, which begins Thursday at Detroit Golf Club. The 27-year-old Australian recorded his first career PGA Tour victory when he defeated Troy Merritt and Joaquin Niemann in a playoff last year. Reigning FedEx Cup champion Patrick Cantlay is the +2500 favorite to lead this year's tournament after the first round. Tony Finau, who won last week's 3M Open, is at +3000 and Will Zalatoris and Cameron Young are +3500 while Davis and Max Homa (+4000) round out the top choices.
