For once, playing a PGA Tour event right before a major will pay off, with a strong field set to tee off Thursday in the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson outside Dallas. Next week's PGA Championship is at Southern Hills in Tulsa, and the proximity means some top stars will play this week at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas. They include world No. 1 and Dallas resident Scottie Scheffler, area native Jordan Spieth and several major champions including Dustin Johnson and Brooks Koepka, among many others.

Scheffler has four victories this season and is the  9-1 favorite in the latest 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson golf odds from Caesars Sportsbook. Justin Thomas is the second choice at 12-1, with Xander Schauffele (16-1),  Johnson (18-1) and Spieth (18-1) among the other top choices and Koepka priced at 25-1.

Before you consider any bets on the 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson or make any PGA Tour predictions, you HAVE TO see what golf expert Jim Holliman has to say.

Holliman has been a writer and editor nearly 25 years and has been playing and following the game closely for more than three decades. The Florida-based writer knows what it takes to win on the PGA Tour and how the players' games fit the courses.

Holliman NAILED his picks for last week's Wells Fargo Championship, with every one of the top five finishers among his picks. They included winner Max Homa, who came in at 40-1 odds, and Keegan Bradley, who was was priced at 35-1 and tied for second. Even Stephan Jager, who came in as a 125-1 long shot, tied for sixth. As predicted, Rory McIlroy had that one high round (a second-round 73) that has become his norm and finished fifth (the same position as in the expert's rankings). Holliman also advised readers to steer clear of Abraham Ancer, and he was the lowest finisher among the picks at T-56.

Holliman also was right on the money in his previous predictions before the Zurich Classic, taking the teams of Billy Horschel-Sam Burns and Xander Schauffele-Patrick Cantlay as his top two picks. Schauffele and Cantlay led wire-to-wire and held off runners-up Horschel and Burns by two strokes.  And before the Masters, Holliman listed Scheffler among his contenders. Anyone who has followed his predictions is WAY UP!

Now, Holliman has released his confident 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson picks. SHOCKINGLY, the golf expert is fading Schauffele. The Olympic champion continues to earn the respect of oddsmakers but has little to show for it on the course. His last individual win on tour was more than three years ago. He might have confidence after he and Patrick Cantlay won the Zurich Classic, but he has shown no reason to bet him to win.

Instead, the golf expert is picking a HUGE long shot to win who comes in at more than 40-1. This player has the power off the tee and touch with his irons to score well at Craig Ranch, and he has been trending upward. He could pull off a STUNNING victory, and anyone who backs this underdog could make a HUGE profit!
