Jonathan Coachman is joined by expert sports bettors Mike McClure, Justin Perri, Zack Cimini and Larry Hartstein on The Early Edge podcast. They give you their best bets for college basketball and the NFL for Monday, Jan. 24.

Coach starts things off with the SportsLine Play of the Day: Over 136 points in the Winthrop-High Point men's college basketball game (6 p.m. ET).

McClure follows with a teaser for the NFL conference championship games next Sunday: Kansas City -1 and San Francisco +9.5 (-120). "Two beautiful spots here," Mike says. "Getting the Chiefs as that full touchdown favorite on their home field, bring that number down to one and get the win. My simulation number is -7.2 on this one.

"Another divisional matchup for (the 49ers) in LA. I expect a pretty competitive game there. I think they're live for the outright win, but I think that they can definitely keep it within the 9.5."

Perri follows with a pair of college basketball plays. The first is Norfolk State (-7.5) to cover against Morgan State (7 p.m. ET). "Morgan is a bottom-30 team in the country, Norfolk around 200," he says. "This should be a pretty big mismatch. … Norfolk is a strong home team, 4-0-1 ATS on their own floor."

Justin's second play is South Carolina State (-8) to cover against Delaware State (7:30 p.m. ET). "Delaware State might be the worst team in the country. The last 10 games, they've lost all 10 by double digits," he says. "They've only covered one of those last 10 games."

Next, Cimini likes Northeastern (-3) to cover against UNC Wilmington (7 p.m. ET). "(Northeastern has) lost seven straight games. Their last win was on Dec. 7 against UMass," Zach says. "They are a bad defensive team, that's why they've lost so many games. But I think they're going to have the offense in this one.

Hartstein wraps things up with a pick for the NFC Championship Game: the 49ers (+3.5) to cover against the Rams (Sunday, 6:30 p.m. ET). "(The 49ers are) able to run the ball against the Rams. (They had) 75 rushes for nearly 300 yards in the two meetings this year," Larry says. "(When) they met in the final week of the regular season, the 49ers' defensive front (had) five sacks, 13 QB hits. I'm not saying they win outright, but to get over a field goal when the injury news is good…"
