Today's picks: Why Reds will cover vs. Diamondbacks, plus more MLB, NBA and NASCAR bets for Friday

Jonathan Coachman is joined by top sports betting experts Mike McClure and Larry Hartstein on the Early Edge podcast, powered by SportsLine. The guys supply their winning picks for MLB, the Masters, the NBA and NASCAR for Friday April 9. 

Mike opens with a comprehensive NBA injury rundown, focusing on the Pacers, Magic, Grizzlies, Bulls and much more. He shares important updates on top stars such as Clint Capela, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bradley Beal and others. 

The Coach steps up to the plate with the SportsLine Play of the Day, going with the Braves -125 over the Phillies at 7:20 p.m. ET. It may prove difficult for Zack Wheeler to perform well against Atlanta in a second consecutive start against the Braves. 

In a very interesting AL East matchup, Mike is taking the Rays +125 over the Yankees at 3:10 p.m. ET. He believes Corey Kluber, who has not truly performed at his best levels since 2017, will be exposed by Tampa Bay. In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, the green flag drops at 8 p.m. ET on Friday. He is recommending Austin Cindric over Justin Allgaier in the Cook Out 250. Both are good short track racers, but Cindric has the better track history and Allgaier may be overvalued. 

The Coach issues his recommended selections for Round 2 of the Masters. He is on an Abraham Ancer over Corey Conners, as emotion should spur Ancer. He is also looking for Paul Casey to bounce back, and is taking him over Webb Simpson. 

In the NBA, Larry is preparing to soar high with the league's triple-doubles leader, Russell Westbrook, to go Over 12.5 rebounds. His favored MLB bet is for the Reds to keep mashing, at -135 over the Diamondbacks at 9:40 p.m. ET. "I'm going to keep riding with the Reds. I hope the day off didn't cool them down," he says. "They scored 51 runs during their five-game win streak and they are facing a Diamondbacks team that is 2-5 and without Ketel Marte. He is a great offensive player. Lay it with Cincinnati."
