2021 Masters tee times, Augusta weather forecast: Defending champion Dustin Johnson tees off Thursday morning; rain possible Friday, Saturday

The tee times for the first two rounds of the Masters are out, and defending champion Dustin Johnson will start Thursday at 10:30 a.m. ET from Augusta National.

No player has repeated as Masters champion since Tiger Woods in 2002 and no player has won back-to-back major championships overall since Jordan Spieth in 2015, but world No. 1 Dustin Johnson could accomplish both feats this week at Augusta National. He is the +900 favorite on the William Hill Sportsbook Masters odds and will begin his title defense Thursday at 10:30 a.m. ET in a group with England's Lee Westwood and amateur Tyler Strafaci. The weather forecast largely looks promising this weekend -- see below.

Johnson's group is No. 13 on Thursday – the first group is a twosome at 8 a.m. ET and features Michael Thompson and Hudson Swofford. The final group at 2 p.m. ET features 2015 champion Jordan Spieth, who just ended a four-year victory drought Sunday at the Texas Open, Cameron Smith and Collin Morikawa.

The marquee group appears to be the one teeing off right after Johnson's at 10:42 a.m. ET: Rory McIlroy, trying for the career Grand Slam, Jon Rahm and Xander Schauffele. Rahm is +1200 to win, McIlroy +1400 and Schauffele +2200.

Of course, the No. 1 draw in golf, five-time champion Tiger Woods, isn't playing this year. Three-time Masters winner Phil Mickelson tees off at 1:12 p.m. ET Thursday.

While there will be some fans allowed at Augusta National unlike in November, there again will not be a Par 3 tournament for social distancing reasons.

CBS Sports offers extensive, week-long coverage across all its platforms with its traditional 18-hole broadcast coverage beginning with the third round Saturday. Jim Nantz serves as host for the 34th time.

ESPN has the TV coverage of the first two rounds starting at 3 p.m. ET. CBS' TV coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET Saturday and 2 p.m. ET Sunday. Masters live stream: Free on CBSSports.com and CBS Sports App, available on Paramount+.
