Jamal Murray has been in the spotlight in Denver’s second round series against the Timberwolves for all the wrong reasons. Poor play overall has led to the belief that he is still hurting with his calf. He also had the incident that resulted in a $100,000 fine. Yet, with three days off in between game two look for Murray to step up in a big way. Take his over.
This is simply a plus money play on Joker and the champs having enough alpha pride dog to find a way though this. Off for almost a week they should be rested, better and healthy
Conley is simply playing less minutes…..too few to go over this number. He is not the matchup the team wants v Murray….
The Nuggets are in trouble in game 3 at Minnesota. Down 0-2, the defending champions are on the brink of losing it all. The Timberwolves have covered seven of the last eight meetings. Karl Anthony Towns has been a big bonus for the TWolves. Anthony Edwards is just spectacular. There's no way for the Nuggets to find your way out. The Nuggets need to wipe their Lakers stink off. They look like the lazy Lakers. But now this is over if they can’t get back to being themselves. They won the last time they were in Minnesota so it can be done. This is a team that I think will put the gauntlet on themselves. It's do-or-die for the Nuggets. Moneyline.
Denver heads to Minnesota for game three in a heap of trouble. They were blown out at home in game two, and now find themselves attempting the impossible. This series is likely going to go the Timberwolves way, but I look for the defending champs to put together a better effort tonight. With three days off since game two, take the points with Denver.
Tim Connelly built the Nuggets as their GM before going to MIN and now he appears to have constructed the Wolves specifically to shutdown his former team. Their defensive tenacity, ridiculous length, quick hands, balanced depth and selflessness is giving the Nuggets fits. What they did to them on the road without Gobert was telling Nugs have no bench and Murray and KCP look cooked Denver is acting out like a bad AAU squad. KAT is now a defensive stud (+41 in 4 games vs DEN), the crowd in this small arena will be nuts and MIN has responded well to extra time off twice already this postseason. Nuggets slow starts will cripple them in this series.
Why wait? I'm pretty sure Rudy Gobert won't have another kid between now and Game 3 and miss another. And there's a possibility that Nuggets guard Jamal Murray is suspended after throwing two things on the court during play in Game 2. How was he not booted for that? I doubt a suspension and the Nuggets surely will play desperate, but watching Monday night's game reminded me so much of the up-and-coming MJ Bulls finishing off the aging Pistons way-back-when -- with Anthony Edwards in the MJ role in 2024. I'm not saying Denver's window is closed going forward, but it simply can't match Minnesota's defense or athleticism right now.
