Sox pitcher Garrett Crochet was dominant in his first two outings of the season but has been ripped in his past two. Even a broken clock is right twice per day, so that unexpected uprising by the White Sox offense last night might better be classified as an outlier. As it was, it was only five runs, and besides, the Pale Hose blew the game in the ninth inning to fall to 3-20 this season. The early hot start by lefty Garrett Crochet seems way back in the rear-view mirror, too, after he was bludgeoned in his last two starts by the Reds and Phils, allowing 12 runs in just 7 2/3 IP. The Twins lineup still gives me headaches and makes them a lil tough to back even against the lowly Pale Hose ... However, this is a nice payout and the White Sox are historically bad and Joe Ryan is plenty good enough to help Chicago get shutout for a 9th time already this season.
