The Phillies have won 7 Straight and they go for the two game sweep of the Blue Jays who they have now won four of five from. The Blue Jays are really struggling right now not hitting and when they score it's ruined by the other team scoring 11. Chris Bassitt has lost his last three starts. Aaron Nola has been the ace winning six great games for the Phillies and none of them allowing more than three runs. Phillies win.

I love Nola in an early getaway day spot against a team that seems intent on wanting to get their manager fired again to take attention away from just how pathetic they are, individually and collectively Toronto will be the most underachieving and overrated team in MLB, again, and we'll keep fading. TOR is 27th in runs scored, however, one thing they don't do is K. So I see Nola's pitch count and execution being plenty good enough to get us into the 7th inning. Nola uncharacteristically lost command last time out (4 walks), but went 8, 8 and 7 1/3 last 3 outings before that. He wants to be a horse.

The starting pitching matchup for this game will be Aaron Nola versus Chris Bassitt. Both players had extreme home and road splits last season. Nola only had a 5.43 ERA and a 1.30 WHIP on the road, but he had a 3.29 ERA and a 0.97 WHIP at home. Bassitt had a 2.86 ERA and a 0.99 WHIP at home, but a 4.50 ERA and a 1.40 WHIP on the road. This game being played in Philadelphia is important, so I’m backing the Phillies to win.

Considering that the Phils have won 18 of 21, and romped in the opener of this series last night when chasing Blue Jays ace Jose Berrios, the RL price temps again this afternoon at Citizens Bank Park. Especially as the Phillies have won in the last six starts made by Aaron Nola, who compiled a 2.06 ERA in April after a rough outing to start the season in late March vs. the Braves. The Blue Jays have also lost the last three games started by Chris Bassitt, who has not impressed greatly this season (5.45 ERA). Play Phillies on Run Line

Chris Bassitt has some of the most drastic home versus road splits since joining the Blue Jays. Bassitt has had three road starts this season and has failed to eclipse 5.1 IP. He will arguably the hottest lineup in the majors in the Phillies who are 2nd in OPS, in addition to drawing the third most walks in the league. The Phillies have also been lethal at home and Bassitt's teammate Jose Berrios found out first hand how tough the Phillies are at home for any starting pitcher.

Toronto is not a good team and their starter is not good and Nola is the real deal for the Phillies. Love the way the Phils are taking care of business. Not sure they this isn't more like -180. Bassitt already has five losses. PHI has won the last five Nola starts.
