It would have been nice to get Minnesota at a field goal, but I'm comfortable with the hook considering New York is a bit overrated here after its win last week. The Vikings are the superior team in most phases with their lone losses coming on the road against Rmas and in that head-scratcher to the Bills. The Jets fold every time they face a decent defense, as is to be expected with a rookie quarterback. They lost all of those games by four points or more (though two were on the road). Minnesota is strong enough defefnsively to take advantage of Sam Darnold's miscues, and it has an offense that is efficient enough to make the Jets pay for them. This could be close late, but I like Minnesota pulling away for a touchdown win.
Hated to see the hook added to this line, but New York’s decimated secondary makes it worth the risk. Vikings WR Adam Thielen seems certain to extend his year-long streak of 100-plus receiving yards as he is likely matched against a rookie DB, Parry Nickerson. QB Kirk Cousins, guilty of a mere three picks all season, protects the ball. Is anyone else surprised at the effectiveness of the Jets’ offense under kid QB Sam Darnold? However, top WR Quincy Enunwa (ankle) sits. While the Vikes’ D has disappointed, it has no peer on third-down plays and ranks second in the red zone.
